Clive Baker has a passion for the communication of mechanical and civil engineering subjects, both current and heritage, by writing and illustration; these have lead him through a diverse and fascinating career.
Aerospace, Mining, Steel, Architecture, Railway and Power & Heat Generation are just a few of the many industries where his technical illustration, cartographic and imaging skills have been employed.
Illustrations, ranging from simple line diagrams and exploded drawings to complex full-colour cutaways, are created with the current versions of Cinema 4D and Adobe Creative Suite soft-wares.
Preparation of magazine articles, book preparation, image manipulation and restoration of historic documents and photographs, relating in particular to heritage transport, are also services that Clive Baker offers.
Having experience in the preparation of artwork for large format wallcharts and posters featuring illustrations, photographs and text, Clive has expanded that category to include interpretation panels, roller banners and other signage particularly describing heritage sites. The image lower right is one such example, part of a commission successfully researched and carried-out for East Staffs Borough Council.
Clive continues to amass a large archive of relevant images, suitable for reproduction.
Illustration/design artworks are either prepared ready for print or digital output.
